Klicktv multi room home TV distribution solutions based on HDMI over cat5 technology (HDbaseT) enable sharing of centralised sources such as Sky HD boxes, BluRay player, media server, Freesat and Freeview receivers in full-HD quality across multiple rooms leaving TV screens free from equipment and cabling clutter. TV screens are connected by a single Cat5e/6 cable up to 70M length to a central HDMI over cat5 switch matrix which can be hidden away along with your satellite receivers, media players and other sources. The source selected for display on any screen can be controlled from the viewing point.
Based on class-leading Wyrestorm HDMI over Cat 5e/6 products, Klicktv multi room TV systems are supplied complete for straightforward self-installation backed by comprehensive installation support from Klicktv.
Why install "cat5" and should it be cat5e, cat6 or cat6a?
+ Cat5 cabling is easy to install following clear cut rules and provides a flexible wiring infrastructure which can be used for a variety of purposes including data networking, broadband access, telephony and TV, video and audio distribution.
+ Once installed, Cat5 cabling can be comprehensively tested and certified using readily available test equipment providing a consistent infrastructure which can be relied upon to perform to a given standard.
+ Cat5 is cheaper than coaxial RF, HDMI, audio and video cabling for anything more than short interconnects.
+ Should you install cat5e, cat6 or cat6a? It depends on several factors including the length of the cable runs and whether you want 4K support either now or in the future.
