General Description
Housed in an industrial standard 19” chassis, PRO-1008 delivers high quality video, stereo audio and IR control to up to 8 users over CAT5e/6 cabling. Input connectors are standard RCA Phono sockets. Output connectors are RJ45 sockets for simple patching over existing infrastructure.
Installation is straightforward, typically taking less than a day to deliver television signals around a large commercial building with existing Cat5e/6 wiring infrastructure. Receivers that convert the signals back to standard video and audio outputs are available in two different formats: SCART, for simple connectivity to a television set and RCA Phono which allow connections to Plasma, Projector and other professional equipment.
Channel selection is either by means of a remote control IR handset used in conjunction with the receiver or via the user’s PC screen. The latter requires a PC running web server software connected to the PRO 1008 chassis via an RS232 port. The same PC allows the system administrator to bar or force channels at individual outputs.
Each screen position has the option of controlling the signal devices attached to the PRO-1008 using the IR pass through provided as standard.
